This is an excellent link for musicians. You can add contact information to their site for exposure. They have some excellent resources for booking shows, etc.
If you play punk or hardcore, it may be tough to get started. There aren't a lot of venues that will put up with more energetic act. These guys have compiled a nice state to state list of venues that accept heavier bands.
This is a terrific site for comparison shopping for pc and home entertainment equipment.
